Dr. Rosey is a Pediatric Infectious Diseases doctor, which is a fancy term for a doctor of germs… meaning she’s an expert in all the microorganisms that can make people sick. She works at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital with the cancer team to treat any and all types of infections in kids who have cancer, and also helps to keep them from getting an infection to begin with. Dr. Rosey is married to Dr. Tony (below), and they have 3 kids: Leo (14 years old), Elle (12 years old) and Gio (10 years old). The Olivero clan loves to climb together, both indoors and outdoors. When they’re not climbing, the Oliveros are either playing soccer, traveling, or camping. If you want to stump Dr. Rosey, ask her which is the better sport: rock climbing or soccer!

Dr. Tony specializes in keeping people alive when they get sick! He is a doctor in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, where he cares for kids with cancer when they are the most sick. Dr. Tony also works with many kids with cancer when they need lines placed, changed or removed for chemotherapy. When Dr. Tony isn’t chasing or belaying his three kids with Dr. Rosey, he’s searching out the most delicious ice cream known to man. If you want to stump Dr. Tony, ask him what his favorite Ben and Jerry’s flavor is!

Dr. Jess is a doctor who works with children and young adults who have blood disorders and cancer (Pediatric Hematology and Oncology) at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. She is so lucky to work with the best co-workers on the planet and is inspired every day by the most amazing patients.  In her free time she enjoys rock climbing both indoors and outside. She loves the supportive community of rock climbing, which is built on trust and encouragement, and where everyone’s progress is celebrated. She is excited to share that with her wonderful patients and team members!

Ethan has earned a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan with a focus on elementary special education, and completed a Single Pitch Instructor course through the American Mountain Guide Association. They use these two different trainings to make climbing more accessible to people of all ages and abilities. When Ethan isn’t climbing, they’re biking or playing pickleball.
